Timisoara City Hall launched the city’s first open data portal and presented plans for open governance. This portal will contain open data about Timisoara, from environmental quality (air, water, noise, electromagnetic), data on the impact of COVID-19 and vaccination, to demographic data (births / deaths, ethnic structure, population distribution by religion), economic data (evolution by sectors) and infrastructure in the fields of education, culture and health.

This data can be used by anyone to analyze behaviors and developments, to identify problems and opportunities and then to propose improvement solutions that will give added value in saving resources, time or in the field of environmental protection.

Timisoara joined in 2020 the Open Government Partnership, which means a participatory government by empowering the citizen, ensuring transparency through open data instrumented with technology, which helps in the fight against corruption.
